I was reading an article on the Light Bearers blog the other week, It’s called “The Parable of the True (Un)believer” it’s a take on Matthew 25:31-46 and it’s looking at how we as christians respond to those around us…
Here are some of the thoughts that stood out to me…
and the Lord Said to Him, “I Think You’ve Mistaken Me for Some Other God…”
But why would You be so gracious to me and call me Your son? I didn’t believe in You.
Many of those gathered at the Jordan had been present at the baptism of Jesus; but the sign then given had been manifest to but few among them. During the preceding months of the Baptist’s ministry, many had refused to heed the call to repentance. Thus they had hardened their hearts and darkened their understanding. When Heaven bore testimony to Jesus at His baptism, they perceived it not.
How often our hardness of heart stops is from seeing the power and leading of God.
